+ Why shouldn’t I just wash my car at home?

A. Don’t get us started! Here are just a few of the good reasons…

…Studies show that the average person uses between 55 and 120 liters of fresh water when washing a car by hand; contrast that with Pro-clean Car Valet in Stellenbosch which uses only 30 to 45 liters of fresh water for each wash. .

A.We can wash most cars, vans,LDV,s and SUV

+ Do you wash pickup trucks & vans?

A. Yes.

+ Is the wash safe for convertibles?

A. Yes. Make sure your roof is properly latched!

+ Is the wash safe for freshly painted vehicle, new cars, and/or recently touched-up vehicles?

A. Yes… and no. We use soft cloth wash materials and mild cleaners. However, any paint job should be allowed to cure before washing – consult with your body shop for curing times. We unfortunately cannot guarantee vehicles that have been “touched-up” or “paint corrected”. Curing times vary and clear coats work best when an entire panel has been repainted and sealed. If you repaint or try to seal just a section of a vehicle panel (which is how some detailers do paint repair) the repair is likely to not last. Think of clear coat as a glove that needs to cover a whole section/panel and not leave an “exposed edge” no matter how small or feathered in. We also have no control over the quality of a painter/detailers repair and can’t warranty their work.

+ Is the wash safe for alloy wheels?

A. Yes. Most car makers caution against washes that use acids on polished aluminum wheels, since these can stain or strip away clear coat finishes on the wheels. Proclean uses NO such acids, and only soft cloth washing material and high pressure spray nozzles; so your wheels are perfectly safe.

+ Will my antenna be OK?

A. Any fixed factory antenna will not be harmed during the wash. Power antennas are hollow core and WILL break if left in the raised position, so please lower all power antennas. Proclean is not responsible for antennas that have not been lowered. Aftermarket products such as CB and cell phone antennas should be removed prior to washing.

+ Will the wash remove road tar or tree pitch?

A.The wash will not, but we can remove tar

+ Will the wash remove bug splats?

A. Yes it will

+ My finish looks dull and streaky. Why?

A. This is usually a sign of oxidation, which occurs as paint ages and decays from exposure to sunlight and road oils. You can slow the process by washing your vehicle often, applying our UV polish sealant regularly and a coat of hand wax at least once a year. If oxidation has already occurred, try cleaning the paint with a paint cleaning compound, then polishing and waxing the finish.

+ How do I protect my clear-coat?

A. Regular application of our UV polish creates a polymer barrier that helps protect clearcoated surfaces from UV rays and airborne contaminants, as well as acids from leaf stains, tree sap, bug spatter and bird droppings …all of which can eat through the clearcoat and cause permanent damage. UV sealants is designed to provide a protective polymer barrier for up to 6 months from date of application. So make it part of your “routine maintenance” by including it with your car wash regularly.
